The internet has given access to so much information that many ways and means of researching have become almost redundant. That said, with so many people posting information on the web, it is still a good idea to check the validity of findings from online sources.

Norfolk and local links .....

  • Diss Family History Group - This group was once affiliated to the Norfolk Family History Society but is now going it alone as an independent group. There is a programme of excellent events/talks throughout the year and people are always welcome at their meetings. There is a reduced cost of entry for members. At present there is no website but details about this group and membership can be obtained from Betty Morley, email: bettymorley@btinternet.com or by post at E. Morley, Thwaites, Fersfield, Diss, Norfolk, IP22 2FF.
  • Norfolk Churches - Norfolk has more than 800 medieval churches as well as ones built after the Reformation, the Catholic churches, and the significant non-conformist ones including an entry for Tasburgh
  • Norfolk Mills - a website contains a considerable amount of historical and genealogical data for well over 1,000 Norfolk mills along with over 3,000 photographs including entries for Tasburgh watermill and postmill
  • Norfolk Public Houses - Norfolk Public Houses is an ever expanding record of all Norfolk public house and many of their licensees. The archive is based upon Licence Records, Newspaper articles, Business Records, Sale & Auction documents and Directories. There is a section on the five (or maybe six) pubs for Tasburgh
